Glyceryl Monstearate - It is a  surfactant and emulsifying agent.  Glyceryl stearate is composed of naturally occuring lipid ingredients glycerol and stearic acid.

Cetearyl Alcohol -  It is an emulstifer, stabilizer, surfactant, foam booster, opacifying agent, and it increases viscosity.   Cetearyl Alcohol is a mixture of cetyl and stearyl alcohols that can come from vegetable or synthetic sources.

Caprylic Triglyceride -  It is a liquid fatty acid that can be derived from mil or palm, coconut or other plant oils.

Sucrose Stearate -  It is a emollient, surfactant and emuslfying agent and is a mono esther of stearic acid and sucrose (or sugar).

Xanthan Gum -  It is a binder, emulsifier, surfactant, and increases viscosity.  Xanthan gum is a polysaccharide, a sugar-based polymer produced by bacteria; it is used as a viscosity agent in personal care products and foods.

Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate - A form of Vitamin C.

Potassium Sorbate -  A preservative that is a potassium salt of sorbic acid, a naturally occurring anti-microbial compound.

Benzyl Alcohol -  It is an external analgesic, preservative,  and solvent.  Benzyl alcohol is a naturally ocurring and synthetic ingredient used as solvent and preservative; has been associated with contact allergy.  The EWG rates it as a “fair” for level of concern.

Sodium Benzoate -  Is an anti-corrosive and masking preservative commonly used in cosmetics and foods.

Phenoxyethanol -  A preservative used in cosmetics and personal care products which is rated “Fair” by the EWG.

Butylphenyl methylproprional -  A synthetic scent ingredient that has been associated with allergies and contact dermatitis.  The EWG rates is a “Moderate Concern” for system toxicity.
